About YOS

Built on board. Not in an office.

YOS exists because a working captain with an IT background spent years managing yacht operations with spreadsheets, paper logs, and disconnected tools — and decided to build something better.

The problem

On every yacht, captains and crew spend hours on administrative work that has nothing to do with their core job — navigating and maintaining the yacht.

Finance spreadsheets. Paper logbooks. Crew certificates tracked in folders. Maintenance schedules on whiteboards. Safety checklists printed and filed. Inventory counted by hand. None of these tools talk to each other, and none of them work offline.

Every system available was either built for merchant shipping and forced onto yachts, or built by software companies that have never stood a watch.

The solution

YOS was built by people who actually do the job. A captain with a university degree in information technology, backed by a crew of engineers, officers, and stewards who tested every feature in real operations.

The system was developed and beta-tested across several yachts in the Mediterranean — motor yachts from 50 to 110 feet, both private and commercial, operating under multiple flag states.

Every module exists because a real crew member needed it. Not because a product manager imagined it.

What YOS can do

Crew Compliance

STCW certificates, endorsements, and hours of rest — tracked and flagged automatically

Crew Passport

Download any crew member's full profile with all files, certificates, and data — organized and ready

Charter Operations

Booking and contracts to guest preferences and feedback — the full charter cycle in one place

IMO 4-Pillar Compliance

Safety, security, environmental protection, and working conditions — all tracked against flag state requirements

In Every Crew Pocket

A full operating system accessible from any device — bridge, engine room, galley, or shore office

AI-Powered Operations

Reads documents, detects expiring certificates, proposes maintenance — always under human command

Design principles

Built for sea, not for shore

Every feature works offline. We built YOS in conditions where connectivity is a luxury — because that is the reality of yacht operations.

Captains decide, software assists

The AI proposes. Humans approve. Nothing executes without explicit command. This is not a limitation — it is the architecture.

Every role, right access

A junior crew member cannot see finance. A head of department cannot approve their own expenses. Access is denied by default and explicitly granted.

No shortcuts, no vaporware

39 modules. 190,000+ lines of code. Running on working yachts in the Mediterranean. Not a pitch deck — a deployed system.
